Great food and atmosphere. I am a traditionalist when it comes to Mexican food, but this has a great non traditional flavor. El big burrito was huge, and the rocks margarita was wholly refreshing.
Ambled in while in town for the Saints game and were wowed by great food…. With a wheat allergy this can be a challenge and the menu was full of options for me… The chef’s taco was incredible, the house grits divine, and the cucumber margarita was so fresh and lovely…. Thanks for a great unexpected night… We will be back! The bar manager gave us the best service… Thanks y’all!
One of my all time favorites. Atmosphere is amazing. Sit outside on a nice evening and take in the artwork, breeze, and chatter of the people.
Drinks are great, food is better. The Tex mex egg rolls and raspberry sauce are amaze-balls. Everything else on the menu is good too. Perfect place for a 2-3 hour dinner and drinks.
Then only word I can use for my experience is PHENOMENAL! Best food, service, and atmosphere of anywhere I’ve been in the past ten years. Highly recommend coming here. Everything came out quick even though it was a packed house and tasted better than expected. If there were more stars I would rate it higher.
High end Tex Mex food. Top quality. It’s funny that the two best Mexican restaurants in the greater New Orleans area are within a half mile of each other and this is one of them. Funky day-of-the-dead decor, very artsy and very cool. Food is top notch and in large portions. Good use of New Orleans ingredients. Great place for families to bring kids.
If you haven’t eaten here yet, do yourself a flavor and go! The atmosphere is fun, the service is excellent, and the food is absolutely amazing! By far my new favorite place to get Mexican, hands down! The place was packed when we went on a Tuesday and service was still above par and from start to finish we were there less than an hour! We didn’t try drinks this time, but I will be sure to try one next time we go! I could not be happier with my experience here!
It was the first time that I had been there and it definitely will not be my last! The atmosphere was lovely the margarita was delicious and the food was very good!! The weather really worked well with the sitting outside – delightful!!!
My new favorite restaurant!! I can’t believe I just recently stumbled upon this gem. The decor is eclectic and funky while still remaining somewhat classy. The patio area is landscaped nicely and great for milder weather. The salsa has a nice kick and a great flavor. The service was above average, even on a busier day like when I visited.
Ok– the food. I love bacon. I love fried chicken. I love tacos. I love avocado. MIX THEM!! The southern tacos are amazing!!!!!! Literally the 4 food groups that I love all wrapped in a flour tortilla. They are really that good.. and the different flavors harmonize together so well. My dining companion had the fajitas, which I tried. (I was a total fat a$$ and did not share my tacos) The fajitas were good, spiced well, and fresh tasting. But the tacos.. I can not give enough praise.
Prices reflect the quality and quantity of the food, and are on par with the Lakeview location and atmosphere.. fair. This is definitely a place to bring a few friends and have a delicious meal while sipping margaritas…
Where can I start? Good margaritas, good food, very good service, and perfect patio!
We usually go on Wednesdays for two for one margaritas. I have tried different entrees and they are all good. My favorite: shrimp quesadilla, fried plantains, and chicken nachos. The nachos are so chessy, yet the chips are always crispy, and I love that they sprinkle some kettle corn on top.
I love the patio seating area, and they have a small art gallery in the walls inside. The only thing that I don’t like about sitting inside is that it can get loud easily. They usually have parking nearby.
